How the comparison works

Methodology

The boundary between product data, editorial analysis and the final airline check.

Start with the traveller's actual bags

A useful comparison gives every returned flight the same trip requirement. The current app accepts a small under-seat bag, a larger cabin bag and checked bags. It can compare explicit fare-plus-baggage totals where the provider response supplies enough information.

Do not turn missing data into a zero

An unknown fee is different from an included bag. Incomplete or warning-state evidence should stay visibly incomplete and must not become a precise-looking claim. The detailed ranking methodology explains inputs, sorting, exclusions and a worked comparison.

Editorial evidence is reviewed separately

Guides use the source hierarchy described on the sources page. A source list and review date explain the evidence used for the page. They do not make an airline rule permanent, so the airline checkout and current conditions remain the final authority.

Current limitations

Sports equipment, seat-selection fees, refund-rule scoring and complete route coverage are not current app capabilities. Editorial pages may explain how to investigate those costs, but the app does not silently add them to a result total.
