How we publish
Editorial standards
The research, review and correction rules used for Fly with Bags travel guidance.
Last updated: 15 August 2026
Purpose before publication
Every guide must answer a distinct traveller question. We do not publish to meet a word, article-count or search-trend quota. An overlapping draft is merged into the stronger guide or held out of discovery instead of creating another near-duplicate page.
Sources and time-sensitive claims
Airline policies, baggage allowances, fees, safety rules and passenger rights can change. We prefer the operating airline, airport, regulator or official product documentation. A reviewed-source list records what was checked, while the article's review date shows when. It is not a guarantee that the source stayed unchanged afterwards.
A material claim must be traceable to the source that supports it. Missing, expired, warning-state or unapproved evidence is not presented as a verified fact. Travellers are always asked to check the final airline rule and price before paying.
Original value
A retained article must add a useful decision method: for example a worked comparison, a checklist, an explained product method or editorial analysis of primary evidence. Generic product promotion does not substitute for an answer. Illustrative interfaces and figures are labelled and are never passed off as live fares, customers or measured savings.
AI and automation
Software may help collect leads, compare drafts or check structure. It does not have publishing authority. Automated trend publication is disabled. New work requires an evidence-led brief, the full validation gates and an accountable editorial decision before it can become indexable. A separately recorded named human approval is required before it can become monetised.
Review, conflicts and commercial influence
The Fly with Bags editorial desk records the disposition and intent of every article. Advertising eligibility requires a separately recorded named human approval; an organization-only disposition record is not sufficient. Commercial relationships, free products or other material conflicts must be disclosed in the affected page; none can buy a favourable baggage comparison or ranking.
Updates, expiry and corrections
Time-sensitive claims are reviewed when evidence expires or a material change is reported. A page may be updated, merged, redirected or removed from discovery. Material corrections are described on the page when the nature of the error matters to a traveller's decision.
Report a suspected error through the corrections processor email hello@flywithbags.net.
